I have recently found out that I have been neglected by the so-called medical establishment, resulting in a lot more hassle for me and my family, and I am livid! I am so upset that I don’t even want to write about the details right now. But I had trouble finding the research online to see how much this is a regular thing. I did find this data, which shows that for every age group, women are hospitalised more than men, for an average of 57% of patients in the US, where the total female population is about 50.5% per the Census. Between more patients being women and most frontline providers (i.e., nurses, informal caregivers) being women, is this part of the reason why patients’ needs aren’t taken seriously? Or do men have just as hard of a time getting their needs met when sick or injured? Since I can’t find the data, let’s collect some. Please answer the poll below!
