As many of you know, I have been drawing cartoons. Particularly during the Republican primary, I drew caricatures of all the players. And what a lampoonable group that was! Well, with a large vet bill and a slowdown at the publisher where I work, I turned to the pootie community the other day, offering to draw for those who made a donation. This offer was something of a hit! So I decided to throw this idea open to the entire community, so I can pay my bills and so you can join in the fun.
For a donation of $20 or more, I will draw a one-of-a-kind animal cartoon of you, your pet, a family member, a friend, or anyone you like, even a local politician you support, or one you would like lampooned! I will send the results to you in an email, and you can print it out whatever size you like. Add a mat and frame, and voila, a unique art work for you or that person who is difficult to gift! Of course, I will be kinder to the good guys and gals. For the politician, I can place the design on T shirts, coffee mugs, bumper stickers, and a variety of items for you to spread around in your area in support of the good politician or to laugh at the bad one. Then you can buy as many of those as you like.
If you love this idea but are not sure who you want to buy for, then you can donate now and ask me to keep your name on file. Whenever you’re ready, I will draw you a portrait. This will lock in the sale price; if demand is high, especially if these creations take longer to create than I think they will, then before long I will be raising prices! But I will work at any time for the price you pay today.
And now a glimpse behind the scenes: I draw freehand from photos. For people, I find an appropriate animal that reflects, perhaps, their names, certain attributes they possess. I then draw with photos of animal and person to either side of my drawing surface. Thus:

Of course your loved ones’ portraits will be more flattering! So please consider donating to this cause and reserving for yourself a one-of-a-kind art item. And please feel free to post your own pets in the Comments!
