VEEERRY Interesting... Election Thread Discussion

Welp, I went to the polls this afternoon and thought you might like to know my observations. Especially given that NY polls don’t close until 9 and final counts aren’t expected until later this month!

I am in a very white, somewhat conservative, upstate suburb Northeast of NYC. I ordered the absentee ballots so I could take Mom’s too and did not have to stand in line. At about 4:00 this afternoon, I was able to walk right in and deposit our filled-out-and-sealed ballots into the dropbox (I did not want to trust DeJoy’s Post Office). There were only five people in line! Three Black women, one white woman and one white man. The volunteers said it was a little busier earlier, but not significantly so.

I think this may mean that somewhat conservative whites are embarrassed by $Rump and the other GOP clowns and are staying home! Meanwhile, minorities are feeling some hope.

What do you think? What are you seeing?

PS: I was surprised to find Kirsten Gillibrand on the ballot! I have not seen a single ad for either her or her opponent, whilst House races inundated us. What’s up with that? Run by not running?
