Welcome back to the odd and whimsical poetery of the Peeps related to holidaze! Let’s investigate what today is, because we need all the holidaze we can celebrate, right?

Every day seems to be many holidays. Which is good, because we all have our favorites. So I will pick out one or two, and you can click the link above if you’re curious about the rest. This is an Open Thread, so please feel free to add your favorite pomes and photoes and holidaze for today in the Comments!

Today is Name Your Poison Day!

In modern parlance,"name your poison" is a phrase most commonly spoken by a bartender when they ask a patron what type of drink they are having. Name Your Poison Day is a day dedicated to making decisions and choices, whether they be among good or bad options.

“Which glass you goin for, Ned?”
”The Horse’s Neck Cocktail of course!”
(also kidding, of course don’t give your horse booze neither!)

The Drunk Poem

by Author Unknown

Starkle starkle little twink,
Who the Hell are you I think,
I'm not under what you call,
the alcofluence of incohol.
I'm just a little slort of sheep,
I'm not drunk like thinkle peep.
I don’t know who is me yet,
but the drunker I stay the longer I get.
So one more drink to fill up my cup,
I got all day sober to Sunday up.

Sleepin it off (again, just water your woozle!)

[Unknown is probably the most widely read Author on the Internet, second only to Anonymous. The only thing that can be said with certainty is that they appear to be quite the partygoers. This poem is widely available on a number of web pages, I was not able to trace back to the original. Perhaps they’ll see the tag and show up here!]
