Happy April Fool’s Day! And now for something completely different. No politics. Just a few fun pranks I found on the Internet. It is also my birthday, so I get to be silly.
So here’s a big list, The 48 Best Harmless April Fools’ Pranks to Pull This Year. But as I read, I think maybe not so harmless!
But here’s a good one: Reverse someone’s silverware drawer! If this is you or someone you know:
They know exactly where the forks and spoons belong, to the point where they could reach in blindfolded and find exactly what they need.
Then mix it up or at least reverse it. Forcing yourself to think could help brain function! It may not be as big a change as using your opposite hand and making new neural connections, but should be pretty close! So if you know someone super-organized, make them move in new ways!
Note that this does NOT include the suggested switch (at the linky above) of everyone’s underwear drawers! Ew! That’s a little bit too much mixing it up. Unless you buy all new for the occasion.
Replace all the photos in someone’s house with photos of Guy Fieri. Or anyone else of your choice. Or pooties or woozles. Or wild animals. See how long it takes for them to notice! If you really have time on your hands, recreate classic paintings with pooties:
Here’s another list of 15 “best”“family-friendly” April Fool’s pranks. Some are repeats, but here are a few more we think aren’t too mean:
Place bubble wrap under a rug. Especially good for waking people up in the morning. It may startle them at first until they figure out what’s making that noise, but then who can resist popping bubble wrap? You’ll probably find the “victim” shortly jumping for joy!
Make undrinkable drinks. I’m not a fan of Jello, but if you are, this is a unique dessert presentation!
Whip up some Jello and let it set in juice glasses, complete with a straw in each. Serve them up to guests’ surprise: Those “drinks” aren’t liquid at all, and those straws will get them nowhere.
Follow up with spoons so they don’t go to waste!
And finally, leave a personalized newspaper page. This prank works especially well if you know anyone still receiving a newspaper delivered to their door! You’ll have to get up super-early, but cover the front of their newspaper with their personalized page and refold and wrap it back up. Surprise! These are often done for birthdays, but can be done for any occasion.
