Welp, Peeps, Mom’s doctor has an NP that makes house calls so that elderly patients don’t have to go out for a visit. To Mom’s mind, NP, PA and doctor are all the same thing. And we can’t “entertain” a doctor visit without a thorough house cleaning first! Mom has an appointment tomorrow morning. And 85+-year-old women don’t clean. And the house must be cleaned very shortly before the doctor’s arrival “so that we don’t mess it up again before he gets here”. So yours truly has been pressed into service. Sigh!
So this will be short. Please consider this an Open Thread. I’ll stay for a while as my back needs a break. But then I need to go sweep the carpets and take some boxes to the garage (wouldn’t you know our Amazon orders just arrived?)!
