Welcome back to the odd and whimsical poetery of the Peeps related to holidaze! Let’s investigate what today is, because we need all the holidaze we can celebrate, right?
Lately, every day seems to be many holidays! Which is good, because we all have our favorites. So I will pick out one, and you can click the link above if you’re curious about the rest. This is an Open Thread, so please feel free to add your favorite pomes and photoes and holidaze for today in the Comments!
Welp, first of all today is the day after Labor Day, so please thank a union for bringing us decent pay and benefits, shorter work hours and weekends! Secondly, today is exactly 8 weeks until Election Day, so please GOTV!

Secondly, Today is World Physical Therapy Day!
Physical therapists help people of all ages stay active and mobile through advice and exercise programs. World Physical Therapy Day is a day "for physical therapists from all over the world to raise awareness about the crucial contribution the profession makes to keeping people well, mobile, and independent." It is organized by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT), and the overall theme each year is "Movement for Health".
I have had physical therapy. They are wonderful people and extremely helpful!

Physical Therapy
by Terri Cannan
It was more than physical therapy but little did we see. It was about you helping me and me helping you too.
Soft meditation songs playing quietly as your coaching me. Words of praise and encouragement along with stretches.
Pain relieving, muscles strengthen along the way. Feeling better with time and progress. When we first started I was a mess.
Conversations we shared showed you really cared. It was more than physical therapy. Not about money. I could clearly see you Enjoy what you do, therefore you are good at it.
Sharing about the pain in our lives that breaks our hearts, another healing begins. Its more than physical therapy, now we are friends….

[Unfortunately, other than her need for PT, I cannot find out much biographical info about the author. Maybe she’ll see her tag and let us know! Meanwhile, for more pomes by this author at Poetry Nation, please click here!]
