Welcome back to the odd and whimsical poetery of the Peeps related to holidaze! Let’s investigate what today is, because we need all the holidaze we can celebrate, right?
Lately, every day seems to be many holidays! Which is good, because we all have our favorites. So I will pick out one, and you can click the link above if you’re curious about the rest. This is an Open Thread, so please feel free to add your favorite pomes and photoes and holidaze for today in the Comments!
Apawlogies for missing last week! Days and time and energy escaped me!
Today is National Outfit of the Day Day
National OOTD Day, which is short for National Outfit of the Day Day, is all about self-love and personal style. The creator of the day, Stassie Shroeder, believes that style is an artistic expression and that expressing oneself helps with one's self-confidence….
The creator of the day says you should pick an outfit that accentuates your favorite parts of your body, and make it your go-to way of dressing. She said you should then add colors, accessories, textures, and styles to the outfit. Then, National OOTD Day should be celebrated by taking a picture of yourself in your outfit and sharing it on social media.

Welp, I couldn’t find a pome about pets WEARing outfits, but this one OWNS outfits, so close enough!
Everything You See Is Mine
by the Cat
Welcome to my beautiful house,
this is my couch and this is my blouse.
Here is my King-sized bed,
and this is the toilet paper I like to shred.
This is the fruit bowl where I nap,
and this is my baseball cap.
Everything you see is mine,
including the human who drinks too much wine.
[From I’m Not Sorry: Poems by Cats. Edited by Rosa Silva. When Ms. Silva is not working on her next book, you can find her reading, travelling, or writing the next post for her blog Cat Lady Confidential. She shares her home with (surprisingly) just one cat. Mister Cat is a blue eyed prince who was rescued by Rosa from the streets when he was only a 6-month-old kitten. He loves sleeping, sun puddles and yummy snacks.]
