This is a quickie, but I thought some of you would feel a bit uplifted by this.
I was watching Jesus Christ Superstar tonight (John Legend IS a God... but I digress) when the below Dove commercial, “Courage is Beautiful,” came on (this is the Canadian version, but the US one is similar but not yet on YouTube):
So we have had our issues with Dove in the past. But now Dove is donating PPE, ventilators, masks and medicines for healthcare workers; products to Feeding America; workers and products during their National Day of Service on May 21 (with parent company Unilever); investing in advertising regarding handwashing; creating the Dove Self-Esteem Project to help support mental health whilst we’re all at home; Unilever is donating soap, sanitizer, bleach, food, and handwashing education programs worldwide, and manufacturing more sanitizer for institutional use; and they are partnering with Direct Relief. You can also donate to Direct Relief via the Dove website.
Not bad for corporate America!
