So tonight, we will again explore one of today’s holidays:
Today is American Touch Tag Day
Dating back to ancient Rome, this game has been played worldwide with a variety of names and rules. Typically it involves a player running around, chasing other players, in an attempt to “tag” or touch them. Most forms of this game have no teams, scores, or equipment. Usually, the goal involves being the last player left untagged or being safe.
a little game called tag
by Bre Pantoja
We were little kids playing tag
When we first ran into each other
We fell down laughing
You picked me up laughing asking if
I was alright
I giggled and said yes

When our two eyes meet each other
We were so nervous on what
To tell each other
I was blushing and you were being
Bashful and all we were doing
Was playing
A Little Game Called Tag

I became 9 and you became 10
When you asked me out and we were
Still playing tag
We ran into young love
You kissed my cheek
And we turned red and giggled
We just started off by playing
A Little Game Called Tag
